Sometimes (especially right now!) life is difficult. Life is overwhelming and even your loved ones seem to be finding the most intense moments to throw temper tantrums into the mix. The bank account looks scary, you feel run down, tired, moody and you’re having to deal with things bigger than you ever thought you’d know how. I just want you to know that you’re okay and you’re doing great.
You’re not alone, and it’s important to take a moment to remember that when you feel like the tidal wave is sweeping you away. Humans face difficult times, it’s part of what builds us into strong and interesting individuals. It’s easy to look at Pam across the road who managed to do PE with Joe, eat a healthy breakfast and brush the kids’ hair this morning, or Dave in his big house in the office Skype meeting and think how lucky they are for how little they have to deal with, but Pam and Dave could be looking at you and thinking the same.
Acknowledging your problems can be part of the remedy. It’s important to address what is happening, feel valid in the emotions you’re feeling and understand that it will pass. Try writing down your thoughts and throwing it away in your very own bullsh*t bin, or imagining the words floating away in a gentle breeze and leaving you in serenity. Reminder: You’re beautiful, even through your struggles.
The most important thing you can do it create a beautiful space for yourself in your mind. Choose to reinforce thoughts with beautiful words of positivity- because they are the ones that you deserve to hear. You’re a superstar, so treat yourself like one!
